Residents of Nyamira township watched a free wrestling match on Friday after two women living at rental houses within the town exchanged blows over toilet keys.
The two women, Asneth Bosibori - a mother of two, accused Faith Kemunto of locking the toilet they have been using without informing other tenants.
"Kemunto has been closing the toilet claiming that my kids make the toilet dirty. We all pay equal rent for our stay here. I asked her for the toilet keys but, she refused to surrender them to me," she said angrily.
Bosiboriu confronted Kemunto over the issue and heated exchange ensued between them. Before long, they exchanged blows.
"I beat her up as other tenants watched," Bosibori charged.
It took the intervention of the caretaker, Maurice Makori, to stop the fight.
He said Kemunto has been insulting other tenants saying they are unhygienic.
"I have been warning Kemunto to stop abusing other tenants that they are dirty. She took her own padlock and locked the toilets and kept the keys. When she was asked to produce the keys she said she will not give out the keys because they belonged to her prompting to the fight," he said.
Makori said he issued a notice to Kemunto to vacate the house by September 10, 2018 failure to which he will forcibly evict her.
